We don't charge any standard connection fees for our NBN services. If you are in a new housing development or opt to have a new line connected, you may be liable for additional charges as dictated by NBN. If your order is subject to additional charges, these will be listed on your order form.

If you have an existing NBN compatible modem that is not locked to your previous provider, we should be able to help you to reconfigure it.

If you're already connected to NBN, your new service will typically be active within 24 hours. However, in most cases, the service will be active within 1 hour.

If you've never been connected to NBN, you'll likely need an NBN tech appointment. The timeframe for an appointment is usually up to 4 weeks. The NBN technician will come to your property to install any equipment.

The speeds available to your address depend on the NBN technology type. FTTP can offer much faster speeds than FTTN or Fixed Wireless.

If you are on FTTN, you might be eligible to access faster speeds with a Fibre Upgrade. Learn more about the fibre upgrade process.

Callnet delivers the following NBN connection types, depending on your location.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP): fibre-optic cable from a fibre node directly to the premises.

Fibre to the Node (FTTN): fibre-optic cable to a neighbourhood node, and from there, using the existing copper network to the premises.

Fibre to the Curb (FTTC): fibre-optic cable to an outdoor pit near the premises, and from there, using the existing copper network to the premises.

Fixed Wireless (FW): radio communications from an NBN fixed wireless facility directly to a small outdoor antenna attached to your premises.

Unfortunately, Callnet's NBN services cannot be transferred between houses. If you're moving, please get in touch with us! We can inform you if your plan is still under contract and if any termination fees apply. We'll also check your new address to let you know the available speeds in your area, and assist with connecting NBN at your new home.

If you are inside the contract term for your NBN service, you may be charged with an early termination fee. Refer to your plans Critical Information Summary for the exact terms and conditions with early terminations.

If you have finished your initial contract term, there is no cancellation fees.
